They’re here!

Friday, February 10th, 2012

It’s February 10th, and time for the monthly update on pfattmarketplace!  Yesterday, I posted a picture of one of my wee cottages which will be available today.  Now, here’s a picture of all three!

They are 3 – 4 inches tall, sculpted from paperclay, painted with many washes of acrylics, and sealed for protection and antiqued.  Please come and join us at for exciting new artwork!  See you there, and thanks for looking!

Wee cottages!

Wednesday, February 8th, 2012

I have been waaaay lax about keeping up on my blog!  Life intervenes, as I usually say.  Just a lot going on, but I had vowed to myself that this year I would do better.  Well……..So, in an effort to give everyone some upcoming news, when pfattmarketplace updates on Friday, the 10th, I will have some wee cottages available.  At this time of the year, we’re still in a bit of a nesting mode – it’s cold, and snuggling in at night seems like a good thing to do.  I decided to create some little homes to keep that theme going into spring.

Each cottage has been sculpted from paperclay with loads of detail, right down to tiled roofs.  Atop each cottage is a bird.  Did you know that the bird symbolizes freedom, because of its ability to fly?  And, in many cultures around the world, the bird has a spiritual significance as a link between the heavens above and the earth below.  If you are fortunate to have a nesting bird close by, that symbolizes good fortune!  There you have it!  Below is a picture of one of three cottages which will be available.  I’ll have the trio up tomorrow!

They did it!

My wonderful friends, the Friedman brothers, did it!  They made their Super Bowl ad for Doritos, placed in the top five for over 6100 entries, and through nationwide voting, theirs aired last night during the second quarter of the game.  The USAToday ad meter totaled votes, and Doritos awarded Jonathan $1,000,000 late last night!  Man’s Best Friend!  What a great ad, and what a story!  The guys spent $20, shot it in the yard and in their kitchen, and used Huff, the Great Dane, who belongs to family friends.  The rest, as they say, really IS history!  And, Jonathan is being booked on the Tonight Show!  I’ll let you know when!
