I have an interview!

Friday, April 27th, 2012

Nice news for me!  Lisa Nelson, an artist friend of mine – a wonderfully talented lady, asked me recently to complete an interview for her blog series.  It is now posted, and you can visit with this link: http://lisanelsonart.blogspot.com/p/artist-interviews-and-links-my-favs.html .  I think you will enjoy it!  It’s filled with pictures, and since I can be sorta chatty, you get a lot of that as well!  So, please check out the interview, and while you are at Lisa’s site, look around!  She is such a terrific artist!  You are sure to see lots to enjoy!

We can do this together

In an effort to blog more, I was reading some news pieces online, and came across this story which I believe impacts everyone.  According to these stats, over 5 million children are forced into slave labor – in brothels, in mines, etc. all over the globe.  We can all make a difference for these children who have no voice.  Please follow         this link and see what you can do to help!  This story has appeared on msn Living, and I want to give credit to them for it.

Coming tomorrow to pfatt marketplace!

Monday, April 9th, 2012

I have been SUCH a slacker in posting!  Waay too much going on, but things seem to have moderated, so I’ll try to be better!  Really, I promise!  So, here’s a little peek, or rather three peeks, at my pieces which will be available tomorrow when we have an update on pfatt marketplace!  My theme is mamas and babies, so I have three pieces which try to live up to that.

This is Molly and her babies – a tribute to my beloved Molly who lived with us for many years.

And, if you love seeing birds and their babes, here is a mama bluebird with a little offspring…..
And finally, a little girl surrounded by her “babies” – her dolly and her stuffed toys.  This is sort of a piece about me.  When I was a child, I used to sit on a stone bench beside my grandmother’s fish pond.  I’d take my dolly, my books and enjoy the peace and quiet……
So, there you have it!  My offerings for this month.  Please join all of us at pfattmarketplace tomorrow at 10 am Pacific, 11 am Mountain, noon Central, and 1 pm Eastern time for lots of beautiful spring creations!  And, if you have any questions, please contact me at ginny@ginnydiezelstudios.com.  Also, to see some closeups of these pieces and to see hundreds of pictures of my work, please follow this link to my flickr site!  Thanks!  Ginny
