This morning, instead of purging the house of dust, I am opting to make some treats for some doggy friends of mine. Here are the yummy bones right before popping them into the oven. The house smells delish! I have used some organic beef broth, and the aroma is driving me nuts! Well, that’s a short trip, but anyway……..enjoy the pic! Perhaps, if you try really hard, and you lean into your computer, you can smell them!

OK – not my choice of words. I would use pumpkin goop, but whatever you choose to call it, here’s a handy and informative article I found online today.
Follow this link to find out what to do with all of that stuff inside the pumpkin – you know, the pulp, the seeds, etc. And, you’ll find out how really nutritious it is for you. Here’s a hint from little old me – every morning, I cook oatmeal. Now, this is not the handy dandy packaged stuff. Get the oats in the big containers, please! Cook according to your directions, and I always use milk! Then, when you remove it from the heating surface, stir in some brown sugar, cinnamon, and about three tablespoons of canned pumpkin which you can get all through the year in your grocery store. (Store the remainder of the pumpkin in a container in the refrigerator.) Voila! It’s as if you were having a slice of pumpkin pie every day! Yummy! And there is a giganto amount of Vitamin A in pumpkin. I have not had a cold or anything like it in many, many years – great antioxidant! I guarantee it is a healthy, tasty way to begin your day, and it is the sort of meal which sticks with you for hours. I don’t get hungry mid-morning. There are times when I even go way past the normal lunchtime, because I am busily creating, and my stomach isn’t telling me to eat! That’s a major accomplishment for me! A friend of mine has just sent me this divine idea and I HAVE to share it with one and all!
5 MINUTE CHOCOLATE MUG CAKE
4 tablespoons flour
4 tablespoons sugar
2 tablespoons cocoa
3 tablespoons milk
3 tablespoons oil
3 tablespoons chocolate chips (optional)
a small splash of vanilla extract
1 large coffee mug
Add dry ingredients to mug, and mix well. Add the egg and mix thoroughly.
Pour in the milk and oil and mix well.
Add the chocolate chips (if using) and vanilla extract, and mix again.
Put your mug in the microwave and cook for 3 minutes at 1000 watts.
The cake will rise over the top of the mug, but don’t be alarmed!
Allow to cool a little, and tip out onto a plate if desired.
EAT! (this can serve 2 if you want to feel slightly more virtuous).
And why is this the most dangerous cake recipe in the world?
Because now we are all only 5 minutes away from chocolate cake at any
time of the day or night!
