AHA update!

By the sea, by the sea, by the beautiful sea!  This is the theme this month for the AHAartistsstudio, so in keeping with it, I have painted a couple of pieces showing that cats really can do the water thing, if they CHOOSE to!

My bathing beauty is complete with flips, beach hat, shades, polka dot bikini (not yellow or itsy bitsy) and, of course, her horsey inner tube!  Go kitty!  She’s painted on a 4″ x 6″ canvas panel.
Diving for fishies!  Kitty has his snorkel  gear, but  the net is waaaay too small for anything.  No matter – he’s having a fun adventure!  This piece is entitled Sea Hunt, Kitty Style, and is painted on a wrapped canvas, measuring 4″ x 12″.   Come and join us for some seaside fun at http://ahaartistsstudio.com!  See you there!

The clay fur is flying at my house!  I will be participating in a gallery show here in my town – Virginia Beach, VA – the show is called It’s Raining Cats and Dogs.  It opens this coming Friday evening,  and should be loads of fun.  This is a month-long show in which the works feature cats and dogs as themes, and it is also a fundraiser for our local SPCA.  I am busily sculpting some little feline friends to enter, and yikes!  I have to have everything completed by Tuesday afternoon to check in!  It is rainy and chilly here, so I have been drying pieces on my heat registers again.  For you regular readers, you have seen pictures of wip on my registers before!  Anyway, here are three of my pieces, minus a couple of little extras.  I’ll post all five pieces on Tuesday!  Be on the lookout for some crazy cats!
