Coming tomorrow, September 10th, to PFATT Marketplace!

Monday, September 9th, 2019

It has been a long while since posting on my blog, but that will change.  I’ve sorted through a lot the past few years, and now want to get back to my basics of posting pics, spreading good news, etc.

Tomorrow, Tuesday, September 10, PFATT Marketplace will have its monthly update at 10 am Pacific time, 11 am Mountain, noon Central, and 1 pm Eastern time.  I have two pieces this month, sure to please cat and dog lovers for Halloween!  Have a look!

A mouse, a bunny, a turkey – OH MY! A bumble bee buzzes along in the sky.  A pirate comes running to gather some sweets!  ‘Tis Halloween night, so get out the treats!

HALLOWEEN PUTTIN’ ON THE DAWG!…The cowboy, the sailor, the hippie, and clown all gathered together and headed for town.  The treats disappeared without leaving a trace!  We’ll find out what happened!  It’s now Sherlock’s case!

Please join us tomorrow for a lot of new artwork on PFATT Marketplace!  See you there!  Remember to refresh the page for the very latest!  And, if you want to comment, please contact me at!

Thanks for looking!  Ginny

Holiday pet ornaments!

Thursday, July 2nd, 2015

Early Fourth of July greetings!

Ahead of the monthly update I do for the  pfatt marketplace, I want to send out some information about the special Christmas ornaments for your cats and dogs, and/or for gifts for your friends and family!  I designed a flat piece for an ornament, because the dimensional ones did not provide me with enough room to fully capture a likeness of a furry babe.  I’m still in the hunt for a dimensional wooden shape, but in the meantime, I have created a design which I think you will like!  The wooden ornament is about 4 inches long, and nearly 3 inches wide, and provides ample space for those sweet fuzzy faces for the holidays!  The ornament will come boxed, and nestled in French vanilla fine shred  100% recycled paper to cushion it.  I’ll tie the box with ribbon, and it will be ready to give to your friends, or to keep for yourself.  I want to create a lasting keepsake for years of enjoyment!

Here is Sophie, the beloved Golden, of one of my customers.  For purposes of photography, I have not put a sheen on the ornament, but will add some now that the image has been taken.  Your fur friend will be painted in the main portion of the ornament, with the top and bottom whorls painted in holiday colors.  The back is also finished, and I can write whatever you wish to have there.

Here are a couple of photos which show my painting technique:

I am now open for taking orders.  An ornament with a single face image, complete with box, is $32.00, plus shipping.  When you contact me for a holiday ornament portrait, I will need good closeup photos of your pet for best results.  You may determine delivery time, but  I will be busier later on in the year.    I have three shows this fall – 2 in November, and 1 in December, so I will be painting right through until Christmas.  I’m always happy to take orders, but beyond December 15th, I will have to decline – I’m hoping that I’m still standing upright after the show season!  lol!  At the time of the order, I request 50% deposit – $16.00 for each ornament, with the balance to be paid upon my completion of the order.  I use paypal for all transactions.  Thank you  for your continuing interest in my work!  I am so very fortunate to have your support for what I love to do!  Please contact me at: ! I hope to hear from you soon!

Four little fur babies are awaiting your arrival at pfatt marketplace!  Come on over!

Coming tomorrow to pfatt marketplace!

Thursday, August 9th, 2012

I want to share my new pieces with you!  They will be available tomorrow when pfatt marketplace updates at 10 am Pacific, 11 Mountain, noon Central, and 1 pm Eastern time!  Birdies and kitties!  Oh my!

Birdies have been sculpted from paperclay, and stand 6 inches to 7 1/2 inches tall.  They have been sculpted for texture, and painted with layers of acrylics to simulate variation in feathers.
My kitties are sculpted from my special mix of papier mache, over peanut butter jars.  Boy!  It’s a lot of peanut butter to go through, but if you follow my blog, you know that I feed my little furry wildlife friends in the marsh behind my house.  Raccoons love peanut butter! The cats are 8 inches to 11 1/2 inches tall, and would make great companions!  And, they are indeed low maintenance!  Stop by tomorrow at pfatt marketplace to view lots of new pieces from our artists!  See you there!

AHA update!

Sunday, June 26th, 2011

By the sea, by the sea, by the beautiful sea!  This is the theme this month for the AHAartistsstudio, so in keeping with it, I have painted a couple of pieces showing that cats really can do the water thing, if they CHOOSE to!

My bathing beauty is complete with flips, beach hat, shades, polka dot bikini (not yellow or itsy bitsy) and, of course, her horsey inner tube!  Go kitty!  She’s painted on a 4″ x 6″ canvas panel.
Diving for fishies!  Kitty has his snorkel  gear, but  the net is waaaay too small for anything.  No matter – he’s having a fun adventure!  This piece is entitled Sea Hunt, Kitty Style, and is painted on a wrapped canvas, measuring 4″ x 12″.   Come and join us for some seaside fun at!  See you there!

meowee wowee wip!

Saturday, February 28th, 2009

The clay fur is flying at my house!  I will be participating in a gallery show here in my town – Virginia Beach, VA – the show is called It’s Raining Cats and Dogs.  It opens this coming Friday evening,  and should be loads of fun.  This is a month-long show in which the works feature cats and dogs as themes, and it is also a fundraiser for our local SPCA.  I am busily sculpting some little feline friends to enter, and yikes!  I have to have everything completed by Tuesday afternoon to check in!  It is rainy and chilly here, so I have been drying pieces on my heat registers again.  For you regular readers, you have seen pictures of wip on my registers before!  Anyway, here are three of my pieces, minus a couple of little extras.  I’ll post all five pieces on Tuesday!  Be on the lookout for some crazy cats!
