I am busily creating for Reasons to Believe, a wonderful site and storefront in Washington State. They accepted my work earlier this year, and now I am sculpting like crazy to have a dozen new pieces for them! Here is one of my latest wip – Good Friends. Santa and the polar bear have their arms around each other – a nice way for us all to be, don’t you think?

OK, what IS Plentyndod? It is a couple of things for me. The word plentyndod comes from the Welsh for childhood. And, it is also the name of a new collection of pieces I will be making. Because of my Welsh heritage, I decided that I wanted to use a word which would evoke interest, tie me to my ancestors, and give meaning to these little pieces. If you want to learn more about this collection, you will just HAVE to go to spookytimejingles around midnight Eastern time tomorrow night! Then, you can step into the world of these new creations! See you there! Oh…….here’s a little peek into that world……

Oh my! Oh my! It’s official !!!!!!!!!!! My Santas have been accepted, and are now available on Reasons to Believe! This is an absolute dream come true! I have long admired the work shown on this Santa site! Since I will always be first and foremost a Santa artist, this is a gift beyond belief! RTB will carry my one of a kind pieces, and I am in the processing of designing about a dozen more Santas to be sent by summer. My body of work will be growing, and hopefully, you will find a Santa which is just right for you! Stop by the Reasons to Believe site and take a look around! There are many artists whose beautiful pieces are represented. Whether sculpted, carved, ornaments, or figures, it’s all there for great eye candy! Enjoy!

Yes, it really IS always Christmas at my house. I have my Santa collection out during the year – I am enthralled with Christmas, and have been since I was a very little girl. Perhaps that is why I enjoy sculpting Santas, snowmen, polar bears – things which bring me to the cold season of the year – well, cold for a lot of us, but not all!
Here are four works in progress of new pieces I have been creating at my kitchen table. Enjoy! I’ll post pictures of the finished products next week!

Well, ok – so it’s the end of February, we just finished up Valentine’s Day, and St. Patrick’s Day isn’t even here yet. However, The LEAP Foundation’s fundraiser IS here! This Saturday, at the House of Blues in Los Angeles, you can enjoy food, music, and auctions to benefit Camp Max Straus locally, and micro lending to female entrepreneurs in developing nations around the globe. Please look at my previous posts – I am on a campaign to spread the word about my son’s beautiful fiancee, Joan, and her efforts, as part of the Foundation, to help others. I am donating original, one-of-a-kind pieces to be auctioned off so that the Foundation may continue its philanthropic work. Take a look at the Christmas and winter pieces! And remember! All of us can make a difference in our own communities. It just takes a few people of like minds who are willing to work and give of themselves. Imagine if each and every one of us did this! What a wonderful world this would be!
