Seems that this phrase keeps coming back, and this time, with a vengeance!  I thought I would post some of my favorite quotes which pertain to the mood in the country these days.   I think we can all use something to think about……

~An economist is a man who states the obvious in terms of the incomprehensible.  Alfred P. Knopf

~If all economists were laid end to end, they would not reach a conclusion.  George Bernard Shaw

~Economics is extremely useful as a form of employment for economists.  John Kenneth Galbraith

~An economist is a surgeon with an excellent scalpel and a rough-edged lancet, who operates beautifully on the dead and tortures the living.   Nicholas Chamfort

…….Now, putting all of that in perspective…..

~Isn’t it interesting that the same people who laugh at science fiction listen to weather forecasts and economists?  Kelvin Throop III

~If you want to know what God thinks of money, just look at the people he gave it to.  Dorothy Parker

So in light of these quotes….

~Most folks are about as happy as they make up their minds to be.  Abraham Lincoln

~Cherish all of your happy moments:  they make a fine cushion for old age.  Christopher Morley

~Human beings, by changing their inner attitudes of their minds, can change the outer aspects of their lives.  William James

There you have it!  The point is this:  no one will ever have all of the answers in life.  Rely upon your own instincts, and take care of one another.  If you are fortunate enough to have good health, family, and friends, you are the wealthiest in the world!
